Passports
Updated Processing Times – Effective February 6, 2023 – U.S. Department of State updated their public information to reflect routine processing of a passport application now takes 8-11 weeks, and expedited processing (for an additional $60) takes 5-7 weeks.
Newburgh Chandler Public Library, at its Bell Road Library location, is a Passport Acceptance Facility. For a first-time passport or for any renewal where the expiration date is older than five years, you must appear in person at a scheduled appointment with a passport acceptance agent to process your application.
Passport Appointments
You can call (812) 853-5468, ext. 350, to speak with one of our passport agents or email us at passport@ncplibraries.org. Please leave your name, phone number, and email address, and a passport agent will contact you.
Appointments are scheduled for the following times:
- Monday – 1:30 pm – 4 pm and 5:30 pm – 7 pm
- Tuesday – 5:30 pm – 7 pm
- Wednesday – 5:30 pm – 7 pm
- Thursday – 9 am – 12 pm

- Completed and unsigned DS-11 application
